Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson isn't territorial about his single-season receiving record that he established in 2012.

Johnson caught 122 passes for 1,964 yards but his record is in danger of being broken by Atlanta's Julio Jones or Pittsburgh's Antonio Brown.

The Lions' superstar said he welcomes their challenges and would offer congratulations if they broke his three-year-old record.

"If one of them breaks it, I will do the same thing Jerry (Rice) did," Johnson said to ESPN's Michael Rothstein. "It's a big congratulations. It's a big task to take on, and that means you carried the load for your team that year to do something like that."

Johnson supplanted San Francisco 49ers legend Jerry Rice in 2012 to become the single-season leader.

Although Johnson is no longer unequivocally the NFL's best wide receiver, it's heart-warming to see that he wishes his primary rivals well.
