Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman is expected to return to action this week, after missing Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings with a concussion, head coach Dan Quinn confirmed.

Freeman suffered the concussion last Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts, after colliding with Clayton Geathers.

The second-year back emerged as one of the NFL's breakout stars, with 764 rushing yards and nine touchdowns in 10 games, adding 48 receptions for 420 yards and two touchdowns.

Tevin Coleman rushed for 110 yards on 18 carries in Freeman's absence, but it was all for naught, as the Falcons lost 20-10.
