With quarterback Brock Osweiler under center in Week 11, tight end Vernon Davis had his best game of his short time with Denver Broncos.

Davis caught six passes from Osweiler in the victory over the Chicago Bears, after only managing two catches in his first two games with the Broncos after arriving in mid-season trade from the San Francisco 49ers.

The 31-year old applauded his young quarterback, saying there was instant chemistry between the two on the field.

"Sometimes it takes awhile to get on the same page and develop that chemistry with a quarterback," Davis said to Cameron Wolfe of the Denver Post. "But with this guy, it's like we connected from Day One."

Since arriving in Denver, Davis has heaped praise on the organization and particularly on head coach Gark Kubiak's offensive system.

"Everything that is difficult turns out to be really good," said Davis. "That's the beauty of being here and I saw it right away. I was like, 'Wow, I dreamed of being in a place like this, a system, a coach who understands talent.' "

With Osweiler starting instead of Peyton Manning, Kubiak has been able to revert back to his preferred offensive system that heavily involves tight ends in the passing game, which is good news for Davis and fellow tight end Owen Daniels.

"That's what I'm used to in my career in Coach Kubiak's offense - a lot of two-tight end, three-tight end sets," Daniels said. "That's why it's been so fun to play in this offense with him. I'm just hoping we continue to do more of it."
