The Baltimore Ravens placed quarterback Joe Flacco on season-ending injured reserve with a torn ACL/MCL.

Flacco suffered the injuries during Sunday's victory over the St. Louis Rams.

The eighth-year veteran completed 64.4 percent of his passes for 14 touchdowns against 12 interceptions in 10 games this season.

Matt Schaub is slated to take over as the Ravens' starting quarterback for the duration of the season.

In a corresponding move, the Ravens claimed Jimmy Clausen off waivers.

Clausen was released by the Chicago Bears on Nov. 23. The Notre Dame product went 23-of-40 for 184 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception in two games this season.

One of the most highly touted high school prospects of all-time, Clausen's collegiate and professional career failed to meet the hype thus far.
