The father of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady took to the airwaves Friday afternoon in defense of his son, calling a San Francisco radio host "full of crap" and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell "a flaming liar."

Tom Brady Sr. went off after being asked by KGO talk show host Chip Franklin whether he would pick his son or Tim Tebow to quarterback his team.

"You're being silly," Brady Sr. replied. "That's a stupid question."

The elder Brady then fired back over a previous point Franklin had made about his son telling the Patriots' ball boy to put a pin in the football during the AFC Championship Game.

"You have no evidence of that, and if you read any of the articles and discussions that have gone on on this thing for six months, you would know that you are full of crap," Brady Sr. said.

Asked why Brady threw his cell phone away, Brady Sr. replied, "Well, there's two issues there. The first was, if you read the Wells Report, which you probably didn't, Wells said that Brady cooperated 100 percent. The second thing that the Wells Report said was, 'We don't need your phone.' So, if you don't need somebody's phone, what the heck do you care what happens to the phone?

"... When you say that Brady is a liar, you better be careful fellow, because you don't know what you're talking about."

Brady Sr. then fired off about Goodell, who issued the four-game suspension against Brady that was nullified Thursday by Judge Richard Berman.

"He lied in the Ray Rice case, he lied in this case, he has lied in the (Adrian) Peterson case," Brady Sr. said. "How many times do you need to know that this guy is a flaming liar?"
