Buccaneers sign 2-time Pro Bowler Tim Jennings

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed cornerback Tim Jennings, the team announced Thursday.

Jennings led the league in interceptions during the 2012 season as a member of the Chicago Bears. The 31-year-old was released by the Bears on Aug. 30.

The Buccaneers' depth was depleted in 2014 due to a series of injuries and the secondary struggled immensely. Jennings is expected to provide depth, and will likely be utilized in nickel and dime packages.

Jennings recorded 50 tackles and a forced fumble last year.
