The New Orleans Saints released wide receiver Nick Toon as part of Tuesday's roster cutdown, according to multiple reports.

Toon spent three seasons with the Saints after being selected in the fourth round of the 2012 draft, appearing in 16 games and making five starts.

Brandon Coleman appears to have secured the No. 3 receiver spot, stepping into a more significant role in his second year after joining the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Rutgers.
