Browns running backs Duke Johnson, Terrance West leave practice with injuries

A pair of Cleveland Browns running backs left practice with injuries on Saturday, but neither are thought to be significant.

Rookie third-round pick Duke Johnson suffered a hamstring injury during team drills, while Terrance West "tweaked" his calf about fifteen minutes later, according to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.

Johnson is not expected to miss significant time, according to Rand Gettlin of NFL.com. The Miami product said, "I've experienced much worse. I just felt something in my hamstring, stopped for precautionary reasons. We're going to take a look at it today.''

West also downplayed his injury, saying he wouldn't miss any practice time.

"I'm good,'' said West as he walked into the facility. "About to get it checked on now. I'll be back tomorrow. I'll be back.''

If either were to miss time with lingering ailments, it would put some pressure on Isaiah Crowell to perform as the every-down back. Behind West and Johnson, the Browns have Shaun Draughn and Glenn Winston.
