Packers' Eddie Lacy could wear goggles due to eye issue

Andrew Weber / USA TODAY Sports

Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy might be sporting a new look for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Dealing with eye irritation from his contact lenses, Lacy could be forced to wear goggles to help his vision, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky.

The issue had the 24-year-old limited in practice early this week, impairing his sight enough that he was unable to read the name on the jersey of teammate Scott Tolzien in the locker room Thursday.

"Let's just say I'm very blind," he said. "I can't see Scott's name over there."

While Lacy is against the idea of wearing goggles, he may not have much of a choice if the eye issue persists through the weekend.

Closing in on his second consecutive 1,000-yard season to start his career, Lacy could be in for a big day against the struggling Buccaneers defense.
