Report: Vikings' Adrian Peterson may seek damages for missing season if appeal fails

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is weeks away from an appeal hearing, but, should things not go his way, he has a contingency plan.

If Peterson loses his appeal, he could file a lawsuit seeking damages related to him missing the season, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Peterson is scheduled to meet with Harold Henderson regarding his reinstatement on Dec. 2. It is reported the running back will argue that he was penalized under the new personal conduct policy, which he believes his case should not fall under.
