Snowmobiles needed to free Bills players for trip to Detroit

Kevin Hoffman-USA TODAY Sports

The Buffalo Bills are getting creative in their attempts to assemble the team in snow-covered Western New York for a flight to Detroit in time to practice before their rescheduled game against the New York Jets on Monday.

Snowmobiles were used to rescue players stranded in areas where driving cars isn't possible. According to The MMQB's Peter King, 85 percent of the Bills' roster lives in the areas hardest hit by this week's unprecedented snowfall.

If all goes to plan, the Bills will fly to Detroit on Friday before practicing at the Lions' facility in the evening. Team CEO Russ Brandon conceded that it's probably not realistic to expect the full 53-man roster to make the trip, but added he thinks the whole team can get to Detroit by Saturday.
