Bears' Kyle Fuller won't require surgery on broken hand

Kyle Fuller's broken hand may not be as devastating as it sounds.

The Chicago Bears cornerback won't need surgery, according to head coach Marc Trestman.

"Up to this point today, I've heard it [the broken hand] as being a non-surgical issue," Trestman told ESPN.com.

Fuller hurt the hand in Sunday's loss to the Miami Dolphins and also suffered a hip injury, which Trestman seemed more concerned about.

"He went out of the game because of his hip more than his hand, so we'll just see. He said he felt good today, but it'll be day to day. I don't know that the hand will deter him. I don't know that, I haven't talked to [the training staff] about it. But that's what I understand at this time."
