Denver Broncos defensive tackle Marvin Austin will play on Sunday, just two days after the death of his father.

Marvin Austin Sr. was involved in a car accident last Sunday, and died on Friday.

"I got no reason not to play," Austin said to ESPN's Jeff Legwold on Friday.

"I've got to honor my dad. I have his name and your name is all you've got. I'm his junior and after this game from now I'll be wearing 'Jr.' suffix on my back."

Austin and the Broncos will play the Seattle Seahawks in a rematch of Super Bowl XLVII.

The 25-year-old has recorded two tackles this season.
