Panthers place Greg Hardy on exempt list

Carolina Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy has agreed to go on the commissioner's exempt list.
Panthers general manager Dave Gettleman made the announcement Wednesday.

By agreeing to the exemption, Hardy will be deactivated without pay, likely until his legal issues are resolved.
Hardy has a court appearance on Nov. 17 regarding an alleged domestic violence incident.
