Seahawks' Schneider not fighting trade rumors: 'We listen to everything'

Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider didn't do much to dispel the rumors that cornerback Richard Sherman could be traded.

In fact, he may have opened up a whole new can of worms.

Speaking with reporters at the league meetings Tuesday, Schneider revealed that the Seahawks are very active in transaction talks around the league and proud of it.

"We listen. We listen to everything you would think," said Schneider, according to Curtis Crabtree of Pro Football Talk. "We’re in a lot of stuff. We try to pride ourselves on that. I think I’ve told you guys before we walk away from 98 percent of the deals that we’re involved with or talking about.

"But at least we know that we’ve knocked down their door, we’ve gone in there and checked it out. We’re not just going to assume. We always just have to constantly be thinking about the organization and how we’re going to move it forward."

Since arriving in Seattle, Schneider has been one of the most active general managers, regularly making moves to upgrade his team, adding All-Pro players like Marshawn Lynch and Jimmy Graham via trade.
