The Atlanta Falcons' win in Sunday's NFC Championship Game likely means the San Francisco 49ers won't have a head coach until February.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the 49ers, the lone team remaining without a head coach, will not interview Falcons offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan until Friday and cannot hire him until after the Super Bowl.

Shanahan, of course, will be heavily involved in the Falcons' preparations for Super Bowl LI.

Shanahan is reportedly the 49ers' first (and perhaps only) choice for the job and will be offered the position as soon as NFL rules permit him to be.
