Brock Osweiler thinks the Broncos miss him

Brock Osweiler isn't scared of his former teammate's desire to "kill him." He thinks it's endearing.

When asked for his thoughts on Denver Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall stating "we want to kill him," the first-year Houston Texan said "it sounds like they miss me," according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.

The two teams are set to meet in a much-anticipated matchup in Denver on Monday, where the Broncos will attempt to show Osweiler he shouldn't have been so quick to leave.

The quarterback says he's going to do what he can to keep the game like any other, though it's tough to ignore expectations after signing his four-year, $72-million contract.

"I'm not blind to that," he said. "It's about removing outside distractions."

While this should be one of the most emotional games of Osweiler's short career, the quarterback, who has struggled greatly against top-level defenses, says he will try to focus solely on the game.

"The emotions can take you out of a game," Osweiler said. "You need to have laser focus on doing your job. ...

"I know how talented the defense is. I'm not blind to that. They're Super Bowl champions for a reason."
