Ex-NFL Network reporter throws shade at former colleague

Bob Donnan / US PRESSWIRE

Former NFL Network employee Rand Getlin took issue with a story being scooped by his former colleague Ian Rapoport on Wednesday.

Getlin was first to report free-agent running back C.J. Spiller was signing with the Seattle Seahawks on Wednesday, but moments later Rapoport of NFL Network reported the same thing, citing sources.

A Twitter user chimed in with a sarcastic "per sources" tweet, to which Getlin again used the crying face emoji to mock the report. After that, Getlin made his point explicit:

When someone on Twitter asked if Getlin was referring to Adam Schefter, who also reported the news within a short time, he quickly made it clear he was referring to someone else.

And even more explicit:

It was initially reported Getlin was let go from NFL Media abruptly, but it seems like the parting of ways was mutual - according to Getlin himself.
