Wilson replaced by Boykin after suffering apparent leg injury

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson left Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers after taking a scary hit that rolled up his left leg.

Wilson left the game for one play before returning to the field, but shortly after that, he was replaced by Trevone Boykin. Trainers placed a brace on Wilson's leg on the sideline.

With his team holding more than a three-touchdown lead in the third quarter, the Seahawks could be holding Wilson out as a precautionary measure. The quarterback was seen standing on the sideline with his helmet on, but has not re-entered the game a second time.

Boykin, an undrafted rookie, led the Seahawks to a field goal on his first full drive and threw a touchdown to Doug Baldwin in the fourth quarter.

Before leaving the game, Wilson completed 15-of-23 passes for 243 yards and one touchdown. He's been dealing with an injury to his right ankle since Week 1.
