Seahawks' Rawls, Graham to sit out 1st training camp practice

Troy Wayrynen / USA TODAY Sports

The Seattle Seahawks are still weighing the health of running back Thomas Rawls and tight end Jimmy Graham.

General manager John Schneider has yet to decide if he will place the projected offensive starters on the physically unable to perform list, but he has made the call to have them sit out the first training camp practice, reports Curtis Crabtree of Pro Football Talk.

The Seahawks are scheduled to hold their first practice Saturday.

Rawls previously said he will "most definitely" be ready for the start of camp after missing the end of last season with a fractured ankle.

Graham's status for the season has been in doubt throughout the offseason after suffering a torn patellar tendon last season, but coach Pete Carroll has remained confident he'll be ready by Week 1.

If either player is placed on the PUP list, they will be able to be activated from it at any time during the preseason.
