Doug Baldwin says his goals haven't changed with new contract

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin is basking in his newly signed four-year, $46-million contract, but that doesn't mean he's going to change his approach.

"I feel good," Baldwin told 710 ESPN Seattle. "Obviously I'm blessed to have a little bit more security in my life in terms of the contract, but nothing really changes. The goal's still the same. We've got to win some championships."

Baldwin shared a more personal story of his journey on his Facebook page after signing his contract on Tuesday, one that included wondering if his football dreams were dead after going undrafted in 2011.

With the added security of his contract, Baldwin now plans to focus on becoming a leader to the younger players on the Seahawks' roster.

"Before I got to this point, before I became a leader, I thought success was all about building myself up and trying to reach my goals," he said. "But once you become a leader, you realize it's about building others up and helping others reach their goals and reach success. So that's where I'm at right now."

Baldwin's value will also be linked to whether or not he can follow up an unbelievable second half of 2015 with another statistically sound season.
