NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said 110,000 people have registered to buy tickets to a Nov. 21 game in Mexico City between the Oakland Raiders and Houston Texans.

Earlier on Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported 100,000 people registered to purchase four tickets apiece - an obviously unmanageable number.

The Monday night game will take place at Azteca Stadium, which has a capacity of about 100,000, and will be the league's first trip to Mexico in 11 years.

The major fan interest is in keeping with the last time the NFL played in Mexico City on Oct. 2, 2005, when the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers played in front of over 103,000 fans.
