As expected, Arizona Wildcats forward Aaron Gordon announced Tuesday that he will leave school to enter the 2014 NBA Draft. As a freshman this past season, Gordon averaged 12.4 points per game, good enough for second on the Wildcats, and he led the team with eight rebounds per game.

Gordon, alongside teammate Nick Johnson (who also declared for the draft Tuesday), received high praise from his now former coach, Sean Miller.

"Aaron has so many gifts as a player," Miller said, via the school's website. "His high energy level, love for the game, competitive fire and ability to blend into a team and become a great teammate are a few of these. Considering he is 18 years old, I can certainly see why the NBA thinks so highly of him. I fully expect Aaron to be a high pick in this year's NBA Draft. Whichever franchise chooses him is getting the ultimate winner."

Gordon is expected to be a lottery pick in June's NBA draft. He averaged 14.3 points and 9.5 rebounds during Arizona's four NCAA tournament games, ending with a 64-63 overtime loss to Wisconsin in the Elite Eight.
