Jerami Grant will fellow teammate Tyler Ennis out the door, leaving Syracuse to enter the NBA draft, according to a report from Sports Illustrated.

The report indicates that Grant plans to announce later on Monday that he is declaring for the draft. It's a bit of a risky move for the sophomore, who made an enormous leap in his second year with the Orange, as his frame could use additional bulk and it's possible he could assure himself a lottery selection with a strong junior season.

Still, Grant should be selected in the first round - ESPN ranks him 17th among prospects and DraftExpress has him penciled to be selected 20th. Obviously, the major leap in production and the off-the-charts athleticism are enticing.

As a sophomore, Grant averaged 12.1 points for the Orange, shooting 49.6 percent. At just 6-foot-8 he may be small for the power forward spot in the NBA, but his 7-foot-2 wingspan could make him a plus defender eventually.
