The Toronto Maple Leafs have officially announced the hiring of hall of famer, and long-time player safety czar Brendan Shanahan.
The job title is "president and alternate governor," though the release is scant on specifics regarding Shanahan's portfolio in a suddenly crowded Maple Leafs front office. Shanahan will address the media, alongside MLSE CEO Tim Leiweke and Maple Leafs general manager Dave Nonis, in Toronto on Monday.
