by Jan 8, 6:25 PM

Some light has been shed on the apparent injury that Vancouver Canucks forward Henrik Sedin has been playing through as of late.

Sedin has registered four points in his last three games, but did not take a single faceoff in Tuesday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins; for the season, Sedin is averaging over 17 draws per game.

Vancouver's next game is Friday against the St. Louis Blues.

Report: Henrik Sedin may be playing through arm injury

by Jan 7, 11:00 PM

TSN's Darren Dreger mentioned Tuesday night during the first intermission between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Vancouver Canucks that Henrik Sedin was playing through a significant injury.

Dreger said the Canucks are trying to keep the injury very quiet, so much so they have not confirmed any suspicion of what the injury is. Dreger said it was an arm/wrist/hand issue.

Henrik Sedin is no stranger to playing through injuries, and it is believed the injury is "more serious" than the Canucks first anticipated. Dreger also mentioned the injury would not be worsened by continuing to play with it as long as Sedin could handle the pain.
