Alex Edler sustained knee injury according to Canucks GM

Canucks defenseman Alex Edler is out indefinitely with an injury that had been described as a "lower-body injury" by coach John Tortorella and the team. During an appearance on Vancouver sports talk radio station The Team 1040 on Thursday afternoon, however, Canucks General Manager Mike Gillis got a bit more specific when discussing the nature of Edler's ailment:

"Alex is out indefinitely. He suffered a knee injury that occurred in the game in Nashville.

We're not sure what the time frame is going to resemble at this point in time, and we'll see over the next week exactly what it may be. But at this point we can't really predict that."
