Ravens QB Flacco says Tomlin intentionally interfered with Jones

Joe Flacco is not impressed with Steelers coach Mike Tomlin. The Ravens quarterback accused him of purposefully getting in the way of wide receiver Jacoby Jones on Thursday, who was running down the sideline during a kickoff return. Tomlin was not penalized for the obstruction.

"He was looking at the big screen the whole entire time," Flacco said after the 22-20 loss. "He knew where Jacoby was. He pulled my move."

Last year during the Super Bowl, Flacco half-seriously suggested to his teammates that they should try to tackle 49ers return specialist Ted Ginn Jr. during a similar play. It didn't end up happening that February night, but perhaps it would have looked like what happened on Thursday.

Even Jones admitted that it was hard to pin the blame on Tomlin.

"It broke my stride but I still shouldn't have got caught," he added. "If I was him, I'd do the same thing knowing I was back there."

The Steelers coach said he didn't realize how close he was to the action, and denied he was in the way.

"I always watch the returns on the JumboTron. It provides better perspective for me," Tomlin said. "I lost my placement as he broke free and saw at the last second how close I was to the field of play."
