American born Montreal Canadiens forward Alex Galchenyuk celebrated his Thanksgiving in style on Thursday. The high-scoring playmaker first shared a photo of the bird he was about to eat on Instagram - professional hockey players, they're just like us! - and seemed pretty excited about it:

Then his teammate Brendan Gallagher shared a photo on Twitter, a photo that revealed the barbaric, unmannerly way Galchenyuk chose to consume his Thanksgivings Day turkey:

"Best piece #stylepoints," explained Galchenyuk while pretending that admission to Valhalla wasn't a factor in his decision to forsake utensils.
