Rick Vaive asks for his name to be removed from class action suit against NHL
Retired NHLer Rick Vaive was among the ten former players initially listed on a Class Action suit filed against the National Hockey League on Monday in a federal court in Washington. The suit alleges that the league was negligent in its handling of head injuries, and the number of plaintiffs has ballooned to 200 since it was originally filed.
Vaive, however, has asked for his name to be withdrawn from the class, according to Toronto Sun reporter Lance Hornby:

"(Rick) would not be involved again if he knew exactly what the claim was going to say," explained Vaive's lawyer Trevor Whiffen in an appearance on TSN1050 radio in Toronto on Thursday evening.
