Louisville reworking Grantham's contract, will make him 1 of highest-paid DCs

Jamie Rhodes / USA TODAY Sports

It must be nice being Todd Grantham these days.

The Louisville defensive coordinator is currently reworking his four-year deal to pay him as much as $1.4 million a year, Grantham's agent, Michael Harrison, told ESPN.com.

The new contract would make Grantham one of the highest paid coordinators in college football.

The reworked contract seems to have come as a sign of good faith from the Cardinals after Grantham declined a defensive coordinator job with the NFL's Oakland Raiders.
