Report: Washington freshman quarterback Troy Williams to start vs. Arizona State

Mike DiNovo / USA TODAY Sports

Washington quarterback Troy Williams is expected to make his first career start against No. 14 Arizona State Saturday night, according to the Seattle Times' Adam Jude.

Williams attempted his first collegiate pass against Oregon last week after the freshman took over for sophomore quarterback Cyler Miles. Miles exited that game with a concussion.

Against the Ducks, Williams completed 5-of-10 passes for 37 yards and rushed for 28 yards and a touchdown on five attempts.

Jude says that the information came from an unnamed University of Washington source.
