Utah breezes past Arizona State after dominant 1st half

Utah made up for its last upset in grand fashion.

The Utes dismantled Arizona State 83-41 on Thursday.

After losing 69-58 to Oregon on Sunday, Utah didn't give the Sun Devils any room to get comfortable.

Arizona state ended the first half with only nine points on 4-of-26 shooting. They turned the ball over 10 times. 

Utah guard Delon Wright led the team in scoring with 12 points, adding five rebounds and four assists. He also had three steals and three blocks.

The Utes were on a mission defensively, finishing with eight steals and 11 blocks. The Sun Devils had just three steals, without delivering a single rejection, and turned the ball over 14 times.

Guard Gerry Blakes led Arizona State in scoring with 12 points, adding two rebounds and an assist.

The win moves Utah to 22-5, while Arizona State slips to 15-13.
