DePaul vs. Providence, Rutgers vs. Michigan State postponed due to weather

An impending blizzard expected to bombard the northeast region has postponed a pair of college basketball game.

Providence and DePaul won't play Tuesday in Rhode Island, according to the Providence Journal's Kevin McNamara. A makeup date has yet to be announced.

The game between Michigan State and Rutgers will be also be postponed due to the storm, and will be played at 6 p.m. ET., on Thursday, according to Nicole Auerbach of USA Today Sports.

The Friars are having a stellar season, coming into Tuesday's matchup with a 15-5 record, including wins over Notre Dame, Miami, Butler and Georgetown.

DePaul, meanwhile, has had a rough year, compiling an 11-10 record while dropping three of its last five games.

Tom Izzo's Spartans have also struggled. They dropped two of their last three contests, and now sit at 13-7.

The Scarlet Knights, who sit at 10-11, were looking for a chance to end a four-game losing streak.
