Indiana's Devin Davis returning to school following head injury

Pat Lovell-USA TODAY Sports

Devin Davis will return to classes at Indiana in January. His return to the court, however, remains a question mark.

The sophomore forward has been away from school since early November after suffering a serious head injury when he was struck by a teammate's car.

Hoosiers head coach Tom Crean confirmed the news, saying that he's more concerned about Davis's health than him playing basketball, according to the Indianapolis Star's Zach Osterman.

"What's most important is that he heals properly, that he knows it's here when he gets back and he can get back to being a student," Crean said. "We would certainly anticipate him being back in school (in the spring)."

Davis is currently undergoing outpatient therapy and living at home in Indianapolis.
