A wrist injury suffered in Thursday night's 71-57 win over Iowa is expected to keep Texas sophomore point guard Isaiah Taylor off the court for an extended period of time, according to ESPN's Jeff Goodman.

Taylor is expected to miss several weeks with the injury, but it is not believed to be season-ending. An exact timetable is not yet known, but the injury will likely keep Taylor sidelined for road games at UConn and Kentucky.

Taylor was hurt late in Thursday's win when he was knocked to the floor by Iowa big man Gabe Olaseni on a drive to the basket. He came up favoring his left wrist.

After the game, Taylor was spotted with his wrist heavily taped, but said he did not believe the wrist was broken. He received X-rays following the game, but will undergo additional testing when the team returns to Austin.

Taylor averaged 12.7 points and four assists as a freshman last season.
