Report: Georgia State's Kevin Ware out with sprained ankle

Kevin Ware has once again been slowed by injury.

The Georgia State guard, who famously suffered a gruesome leg injury in 2012 while with Louisville, will miss "an undisclosed amount of time" with a high ankle sprain, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Doug Roberson.

Ware, who transferred to Georgia State this offseason, was expected to start in the team's backcourt, although the Panthers should be able to make do with R.J. Hunter and Ryan Harrow.

Ware has two years of NCAA eligibility remaining. He averaged 1.7 points on 37.5 percent shooting in nine games with the Cardinals last season after working his way back from a broken right leg.

Ware averaged 3.1 points and 1.3 rebounds in parts of three seasons at Louisville.
