4-star recruit Elijah Thomas commits to Texas A&M

Texas A&M's recruiting for the 2015 class is complete, and it's tough to imagine them having done a better job.

On Tuesday, the Aggies secured a commitment from four-star center Elijah Thomas, who is ranked as the No. 29 prospect in the Class of 2015 by ESPN and No. 28 on the 247 Sports composite.

Thomas joins Admon Gilder, D.J. Hogg, and Tyler Davis as top-100 recruits heading to A&M for the 2015 season. He also represents a late boon for the program, as it appeared at times that he may have been headed to Illinois, Oklahoma State, or a number of other schools.

"They were the first school to offer me a scholarship," Thomas said. "On my official visit, when I saw their academic system, I loved it."

Also helping in the decision was Gilder's commitment, secured last week, as the two have been friends since a young age.

"That's my brother," Thomas said. "He didn't change my mind, he just made things easier ... We plan on winning the 2016 national championship."

With the recruiting class they've assembled, that might not be a crazy objective for the largely football-first school.
