Mount St. Mary's reaches extension with head coach Jamion Christian

Following a surprising run to the NCAA tournament, Mount St. Mary's decided to reward its head coach Jamion Christian with an extension that carries through until the 2018-19 season.

"We are very pleased to extend our contract with Coach Jamion Christian," said school athletic director Lynne Robinson. "Jamion's positive leadership of the men's basketball program has been tremendous.

"Under Jamion's leadership, the future of Mount basketball is bright and in good hands!"

Christian helped guide the Mountaineers to capture the Northeast Conference championship, thereby sealing an appearance in the NCAA tournament in 2013-14.
