NC State F T.J. Warren to enter NBA draft
North Carolina State's T.J. Warren, the reigning Atlantic Coast Conference's player of the year, has announced that he intends to enter the 2014 NBA Draft.
In a statement released on the school's website, Warren thanked the coaching staff and teammates, while expressing his readiness to play in the NBA.
"Playing in the NBA has been a lifelong dream of mine and playing at NC State has prepared me well to achieve my dream."
Head coach Mark Gottfried stated his belief in Warren, and praised the 6-foot-8 for his maturity over his two-year tenure at NC State.
"I truly believe he was the best offensive player in the nation this year," Gottfried said, "and although he is a great scorer, his rebounding and defensive improvement are often underappreciated."
Warren led the team in scoring with 24.9 points per game and boasted a league-best .525 shooting percentage.
