Kentucky's Alex Poythress says he's fine after pile-up knee tweak, plans to play Monday

Alex Poythress may have given the Kentucky faithful a scare on Saturday night, but he doesn't see any reason you should worry.

As the Wildcats celebrated their insane Final Four victory over Wisconsin, Poythress got caught at the bottom of a celebratory pile-on. The video shows Poythress appear to tweak his knee while falling backwards, recoiling and grimacing in pain (see video below).

However, following the game, the sophomore forward didn't want to hear anything about his status for Monday's national championship game being in trouble.

"I just got caught on the bottom of the dog pile," Poythress said. "But I'll be fine."

The team did not release an official injury designation, but nobody seemed to object when Poythress said he'll be playing Monday against Connecticut.

Let it be a warning to other teams and players, though: celebrate on your feet.
