No. 3 Arizona clinches Pac-12 title with win over Stanford

The Arizona Wildcats clinched the Pac-12 regular-season title with a 79-66 win over Stanford on Sunday night. The No. 3 Wildcats were led by freshman Aaron Gordon who scored a team-high 19 points and added a career-high 15 rebounds.

It was the last home game for Arizona this season and the Wildcats finished their home schedule with a perfect 18-0 record. It's the 26th regular-season conference championship for Arizona and the first since 2011.

The Wildcats never trailed in the game and led by 13 at the half with the Cardinal never really threatening to close the gap. Arizona held the advantage on the glass, outrebounding Stanford 40-31 including a 13-to-five edge in offensive rebounds.

Josh Huestis tied his career high with 22 points and added 12 rebounds for Stanford in the loss.

The Wildcats have two regular season games remaining, starting with a trip to Oregon State on Wednesday before closing out the schedule in Oregon on Saturday.

The Cardinal also has two games left in the regular season, though both will be at home. Stanford hosts Colorado on Wednesday and then Utah on Saturday.
