Duke guard Grayson Allen will see out his college eligibility, as he's returning for his senior season, the school announced.

Allen is coming off a roller coaster 2016-17 season, as he was suspended one game for tripping an Elon player, had his captaincy stripped, and also missed two games due to injury.

Year Minutes FG% 3PT% PPG RPG APG
2014-15 9.2 42.5 34.6 4.4 1 0.4
2015-16 36.6 46.6 41.7 21.6 4.6 3.5
2016-17 29.6 39.5 36.5 14.5 3.7 3.5

Allen was a 2016 Wooden Award finalist and helped Duke win the 2015 NCAA tournament, coming off the bench to score 16 points as a freshman in the title game.

Allen will be looked upon to be the leader of the Blue Devils once again, following the graduation of Amile Jefferson and Matt Jones, along with Luke Kennard declaring for the 2017 NBA Draft.

Duke has the fourth-ranked 2017 recruiting class, highlighted by five-star forward Wendell Carter and five-star guard Gary Trent Jr.

The Blue Devils have just Allen and freshman Frank Jackson returning from their regular rotation from a season ago.
