Washington grants 4-star G Blake Harris release from NLI

Gary A. Vasquez-US PRESSWIRE

Washington coach Mike Hopkins is going to have his work cut out for him on the recruitment front.

Four-star guard Blake Harris was granted a release from his National Letter of Intent with the Huskies on Tuesday, only days after fellow four-star Jontay Porter did the same.

Harris alluded to the recent firing of Lorenzo Romar as the reason for his decommitment.

While he has yet to comment, it is expected Michael Porter Jr., the No. 1 overall recruit from the 2017 class, will also decommit from Washington. Romar had hired his friend Michael Porter Sr. as an assistant, leading his sons Michael Jr. and Jontay to pledge to the Huskies.
