Maine suspended five players last week following a fight in the locker room over music that left one player with a broken jaw.

Ironically, the violent incident took place on Valentine's Day.

Marko Pirovic suffered the broken jaw. He was punched in the face by teammate Wes Myers, after refusing Myers' request to turn off his music in the locker room, according to a police report obtained by Larry Mahoney of the Bangor Daily News.

An argument ensued between the two and both players threw punches before Myers connected with Pirovic's face. Pirovic required surgery on his jaw, which will be wired shut for six-to-eight weeks. He chose not to press charges against Myers.

"At this point, I want this all to be over with and I'm not looking to pursue this case in any way," Pirovic is quoted as saying in the police report.

The three other suspended Black Bears - Jaquan McKennon, Ilija Stojiljkovic, and Dusan Majstorovic - were disciplined for covering up the punch by telling team trainer Ryan Taylor that Pirovic "fell in the shower."

All three have since been reinstated, while Myers remains suspended and Pirovic sits on the injured list.

If all that wasn't bad enough, Maine has a 6-24 record this season.
