Arizona's Allonzo Trier misses media day; Miller won't comment on status

Casey Sapio-USA TODAY Sports

Arizona guard Allonzo Trier was supposed to be the Wildcats' player representative at Pac-12 Media Day on Friday, but was subbed out at the last minute with questions surrounding his eligibility for this upcoming season.

Trier participated in the Wildcats' annual Red-Blue game on Oct. 14, but Miller hasn't offered any updates on the sophomore's chances to be eligible this season.

"I can't really respond," Miller told Bruce Pascoe of the Arizona Daily Star at the intersquad game. "I think you're talking about the rumors that are out there. I can't respond to that."

The sophomore averaged 14.8 points and 3.3 rebounds in 28 minutes last season for Arizona. The five-star player was ranked as the 18th best recruit coming out of high school, and opted to return to Arizona after his freshman season instead of declaring for the NBA draft.

Senior Kadeem Allen replaced Trier at media day.
