5-star guard Coby White commits to North Carolina

North Carolina has jumped to a fast start in recruiting for the 2018 class, as five-star guard Coby White announced his commitment to the Tar Heels.

White is the first five-star player from the 2018 class to commit, joining fellow guard and highly ranked four-star recruit Rechon Black at North Carolina. Black committed to the Tar Heels on Jan. 15.

White is 6-foot-3, 165-pounds out of Wilson, N.C., and is the 21st ranked player on the ESPN 60 for the 2018 class.

White also had offers from Clemson, Iowa State, Saint Louis, Tennessee, Virginia, and Wake Forest.
