NC State adds forward Ted Kapita to recruiting class

RALEIGH, N.C. - North Carolina State has added another player to its men's basketball roster.

The Wolfpack on Friday announced the signing of 6-foot-10 forward Ted Kapita.

Coach Mark Gottfried calls Kapita ''a versatile and athletic addition who plays with a high motor.''

Kapita, who is originally from Congo, who has played at Huntington Prep in West Virginia and at DME Academy in Melbourne, Florida. He averaged 12 points and seven rebounds at DME.

He joins a recruiting class that includes guards Dennis Smith Jr. and Markell Johnson and big men Omer Yurtseven and Darius Hicks.
