VIDEO: Bernie Sanders drains jumpers before New Hampshire victory speech

Fox News / Twitter

Shortly after taking office in 2008, President Barack Obama famously had the White House tennis court adapted for basketball. At least one of the candidates campaigning to fill his seat would probably get some use out of it.

As the ballots rolled in and spelled a landslide victory for Bernie Sanders in the New Hampshire primary Tuesday night, the Democratic presidential candidate loosened up for his victory speech by hitting the court with his children and grandchildren to put up a few close-range jumpers.

Though he didn't seem to give himself a heat check, or venture too far beyond his comfort zone on the right block, the 74-year-old Vermont senator proved to have a feathery touch around the hoop, kissing a few off the window to get his blood flowing and confidence surging.

Sanders, who played a lot of basketball growing up, once claimed to have taken on New York City playground legend Connie Hawkins in his younger days.
