Mike Conley: 'Everything will be on the table' in impending free agency

The Memphis Grizzlies have turned their season around after a woeful start, moving to within three games of the fourth seed in the Western Conference. But their future beyond this summer remains decidedly murky.

Point guard Mike Conley will be an unrestricted free agent at season's end, and he seems intent on exploring his options when his contract officially expires July 1.

"Everything will be on the table when the time comes," Conley told reporters Friday, ahead of the Grizzlies' game against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

He'd been asked specifically about whether he would consider the Knicks - who sorely need a point guard - in free agency, but Conley left the door open for any and ever possibility.

"I haven't committed to anything," he said.

The 28-year-old has played the entirety of his career with the Grizzlies, who drafted him fourth overall in 2007. In his ninth season with the franchise, he's averaging 14.6 points, 6.1 assists, and 1.3 steals, while shooting a career-low percentage from the field (40.4) and his lowest 3-point percentage (34.9) since his rookie season.

For the last eight of those seasons in Memphis, Conley has been flanked by center Marc Gasol, who re-upped with the franchise last offseason on a five-year max deal. Conley, though, dismissed the notion that he feels a responsibility to stick around for Gasol's sake.

"There is no pact," he said.
